Two Dead in Oakland Double Homicide

OAKLAND, Calif. — Two individuals were fatally shot late Friday night in a residence on the 300 block of Fairmount Avenue, according to Oakland police.

Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 11:15 p.m. and discovered the victims inside the home. Despite immediate efforts by emergency responders, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations indicate that an argument involving multiple people preceded the shooting. However, no suspects have been identified or taken into custody as of yet.

The identities of the victims remain undisclosed, pending notification of their families.
