Austria and the Netherlands have a record number of Covid-19 infected people in the last 24 hours.
For the second day in a row, Austria sets a new record in the number of newly infected, which after yesterday’s 2,452 today reached 2,571 and 13 deaths.
In addition, Vienna continues to register an increasing number of new infections, and in the last 24 hours, 615 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the Austrian capital.
There are currently 19,409 active patients in Austria, of whom 1,058 are hospitalized and 158 are in intensive care. The death toll reached 954. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 75,558 people have been tested for the coronavirus and 55,195 have been cured.
The Netherlands has also recorded a record number of infections in the last 24 hours, where the number of newly infected has exceeded 10,000.
According to the National Institute of Public Health, the Netherlands has continued to transfer patients to Germany as the country’s hospitals are overcrowded.
On October 14, the government introduced a partial quarantine to prevent the spread of the disease and decided to close all bars and restaurants in the country.
